WORST travel agency.The customer service just awful!!!
Worst travel company I have ever used for the $50-$100 you save up front, you will be paying out hundreds more. Absolutely do not use! 6 of us booked a trip to Varadero Cuba and after you pay all the fees start coming. We don't get a room until 12hrs after we arrive. We get kicked out of our room 10hrs before our flight. Could not be more disappointed.
DONT BOOK WITH SUNWING! We have had two vacations with this company. The first we booked and all went well until sunwing didn't book us in our room for the last night in the hotel. They forced us out so we had to mull around the lobby all night until our flight out the next morning. The next was booked through a wedding planner for a friends wedding. Sunwing changed the flight times multiple times until they just strait up took the flight off the list so we had to keep calling to even find out if it was leaving at all. Wasted a day of our trip and wasted our money. Dont book with these guys! pay the extra and have an enjoyable reliable trip with any other well known travel company!
HORRENDOUS company. Booked a vacation to Cuba in January 2018 for May 2-9 for a good resort (4 star) for $1070 each for 7 days. We wanted a 8-10 day vacation but this was a great deal so we settled for 7 days. They called yesterday (April 19) to inform us the return flight home has been cancelled. Sunwing tells us that because the flight was cancelled (probably because they didnt have enough people to fill the plane), they could provide us with three options:1. Go for 6 days (1070 divided by 7 days = $152 off price each)2. Book the same resort from May 1-8 instead but pay the DIFFERENCE for the CURRENT price (2 weeks prior to the trip, which is now over $1600 each). Plus a $100 voucher on the NEXT vacation.3. Full refundI called and they wouldnt budge on giving us option 2 no charge. I told them its like selling me shoes in the wrong colour that are on sale for $50, then while asking for the shoes in the right colour, they are now $250, so i owe them $200. NO.I asked if they care about their customers and if this is how they treat them. They kept saying we understand your frustration and sorry about this, however, the offer is set in stone. Note: this IS how they treat their customers, as you can tell from the reviews, as well as the travel agents I used to book another vacation for May 3, whom also agreed, saying they wish they didnt have to sell Sunwing vacations to anyone due to their poor customer service and issues like this one.We went for option three and spent more with West Jet. We also declined their $100 voucher offer for the next Sunwing vacation, because there wont ever be one. Sunwing: care about your clients and compensate them properly when you make mistakes.
Sunwing is terrible, my wife and I booked through away you go vacations, which is one of the worst travel agencies I've ever used by the way. But we use that travel agency and books through Sunwing to have our wedding destination be Montego Bay Jamaica. We chose to get married at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach which was a fantastic Resort but with a year-and-a-half notice and preparation time are travel agent and Sunwing together managed to screw our room placements end complicated the flights for many of my guest. Now that first part was just not fun because Sunwing and Away you go vacations really were of no use to us and those trying times, my wife and I did what we could to help our guests but they were of no use to us. The second part was worse between our travel agent and Sunwing they managed to screw up our honeymoon at Secrets Wild Orchid. They did not relay how important our stay at the resort was going to be. You know our honeymoon. When we arrived from are other Resort at the new resort they did not know who I was even though I had all of the proper paperwork, I still did not exist in their system. However my wife existed in their system as another guest in another room with two other women. So needless to say they knew nothing of our honeymoon or that it was also her birthday that week. Now obviously we were upset about this and we tried to contact them to do something about this but only after 3 days did they actually attempt to do anything to make good on this. So we were obviously upset and we spoke with the Sunwing Representatives, they did not do much. The flight home for some reason was much more uncomfortable because before it we had expressed our anger with Sunwing, so we ended up with quite simply the worst seats on the plane. When we return home I contacted Sunwing and requested that they compensate us for the whole frustrating situation. They offered us a $400 credit each, not too bad right! We accepted this because we were just tired of dealing with them and it took them forever to get back to us. When we went to look at the credit it was only for $100 per person and actually had an expiry date. When I contacted them about the discrepancy in the amount they went on to argue that they never said that they were going to give us 400 each. Needless to say they made what should have been a fantastic two weeks in Jamaica getting married and spending our honeymoon there, a complete shitshow. I do not recommend using Sunwing. If you can avoid using them please do. The only benefits of them is that you get direct flights but if an extra couple hours connecting will be the difference of customer service God just do it because Sunwing is garbage.
