Ordered a kayak online. Received a 'ready for pickup' confirmation email yesterday. Went in to the store this evening. Kayak could not be found. They finally realized it was still hanging from the ceiling and told me they couldn't get it down till the next day. We borrowed a friend's truck to pick it up as a surprise for my daughter, so it was a huge let down that we couldn't pick it up tonight. Not impressed with Canadian Tire online ordering system at all. This was my second time using on line ordering. The first time, I ordered a patio set on sale and a few hours later I received a phone call from the store saying that they couldn't fulfil my order because the only one they have left is the floor model. By then, this particular set was sold out at all other stores nearby me, so I ended up buying the floor model, with no discount given.
Typically disappointed if I go here for auto parts. This is less and less an auto supply store and more and more a general department store that has a small auto department in it. I usually skip Canada Tire for parts and just go straight to a parts store. For other general purpose items the store is good.
Friendly service. The products are just good enough but fail time after time. So it's good if your on a budget, just expect to get what you pay for. The return policies are reasonable.
Most likely one of the best customer service experiences ive ever had. Alex, in the automotive department was positive, helpful and knew his stuff. If you need any help ask for him!
When I went in I couldnt find something I needed, two people tried to help me and sent me in the wrong direction. Frustrated, I went to customer service and she helped me. A gentleman young man in the back very tall I forget his name offered to carry the item all the way through the store waited for me to pay and into my car. I have a bad back, which isnt obvious, so I really appreciated it. I wish I knew his name. He was blonde with mid length hair. People like that make a person want to come back!
