I only shop here if I know exactly what I want, because it's impossible to get assistance and when you do track down an employee and ask for help they are unfriendly and will do anything to pass you onto to someone else or send you on a wild goose chase. I asked a young male staff member for assistance and he pointed to $28 and $30 wrenches. I told him I wasn't going to spend that much for one bolt, that I wanted something cheap. He then pointed to wrenches even more expensive. I reiterated my statement and he looked at me blankly. A nearby customer showed me where the inexpensive wrenches were and helped me with my choice. The sales person, who had not uttered one word through it all, just walked away. They must hire the most ridiculously stupid people in Surrey. Outrageous.
We have 5 vehicles at our household with 3 drivers. Found 80% of what we need to keep the vehicles maintain available at Canadian Tire. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Does not have as high quality products or full line of auto parts available like Lordco but prices on motor oil and car wax to household fix ups accessories can be found where at Lordco are unavailable.
Prices sometimes are great. Service not so friends usually. CT competing against online retail Giants. Staff needs a lot more training!
Go to place for hardware and other household items. Pretty much have always found what I was looking for. Sales are great deals so keep a lookout for the store flyers.One area that can use improvement is number of sales associates. At times it is difficult to locate one. I personally prefer Canadian Tire and Rona before I try Home Depot.
Usually I don't go here much because it feels like they think everyone is a criminal what with checking your backpack but not being responsible for it if it is stolen when u leave it with them.. but yesterday I had to go in and to my surprise on the door it said please feel free to bring your dogs inside and don't leave them in a hot car. It wasn't very hot that day but I took the opportunity to bring them in and I really appreciate it. I will now come back more often as I feel more like they are looking after the customers best interest.
