I dont understand all the negative comments about their pricing... They are very quick, try to fix your problem in emergency hours for a regular vet price.($59 exam fee)... I wish I could take my dogs there at regular hours as well when I need them. They are that good and kind. There are Vets around, who charges abnormal amount of money and YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR YOUR PET TO STOP THE PAIN... and you never know if the care they are giving is the right care. In this sense its better to have a regular vet who knows you and you know them. (Its one of my mistake to not have one). Some of the very regular cost examples;ISOFLURANCE MASK...each...$65ANESTHESIA MAINTENANCE...$39.5INJECTIONS...each...around...$39.5MEDICATION...each...around...$35.9Total cost can build from $150 up to over $300 for one visit.. no kidding... And Unfortunately true About pricing again, ALL VETS ARE EXPENSIVE.... if you are not capable of paying, its a sad situation but there are places belongs to BCSPCA, where you can just surrender your pet, they take care of the rest. I recommend you to look for them. At the end, ALL VETS are out there to make a business. However, in conclusion when we look at the quality of care given, Mainland personnel gives really quick and good care regardless from their pricing.

My cat ate a very toxic plant and they were quick to administer treatment and save his life. They even let us come in and check on him during his stay. Very pleasant staff during a scary time.

About a year ago my dog knicked one of the large veins in his ear. It was bleeding profusely. We took him to Mainland. He was put under anesthesia & stitched back up. As expected it was a pricey procedure but necessary. They did a great job, and I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

Too bad we can't give NEGATIVE stars. Don't bother going there with your pet if your short on funds.....unless you pay up front they kick you out the door!! Took our dog in & explained our case...they basically said "that's nice.....goodbye". NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!!!! Fees to see your pet START at $300....will be seeking a better emergency clinic & don't care if i have to drive to Vancouver!!

Love this clinic! Our dog had stones in his bladder and we took him here late at night where they listened to us and flushed out his bladder and urethra in hopes of not having to have surgery. Over the next several days we decided that surgery was indeed necessary. Our regular vet was going to charge us $2-3 thousand dollars and this clinic charged us half of that $1500.00. Overall, they have been polite, informed, transparent and we are happy with the results and our dog is back to his normal self. We would highly recommend them for any pet emergency. Thank you
