Very great spot for lunch! People are really nice and the environment is cozy, comfortable, and welcoming. We are definitely coming back there, maybe to try the dinner menu! The food was also really fresh, not overdone, and perfect temperature as it came to our table! Highly recommend!
For great food, funky decor and building - close to the beach for a pre and/or post meal walk - The Cabin is the place you have to go.You will enjoy.
Last Friday we brought guests to dinner at the Cabin, they were visiting from out of town. They have traveled all over the world and said the Clam Chowder was they BEST they have ever eaten, as well as all the other seafood we enjoyed. The service was excellent and the Chef is incredible, and we will be coming back for more. Thank-you for the excellent service and food, we will see you again soon.
I agree with the other posters about this place having a smaller portion. The surf burger and mixed seafood rice both had a good balance of carb and topping however the size of the burger could be increased. The cod fish and chips had a very small size piece of cod. One piece I got was half of a 20 bill size, considering there are so many other fish and chip places around, they really have to up their portions. I also suspect the oil used to fry the fish wasn't the freshest because of the color of the batter. Quaint area and very good decor but I am reluctant to come back due to portions. The service could also be improved, the server didn't top up my water and never checked up on us. The service was also not very fast especially since we went for lunch and there were only 3 other tables around us.
food was tasty, service was good, and the way they worked us 'in' at the start of a busy evening was appreciated... some of the tables are losing their paint finish and feel gross and sticky as a result... our table was quite grim - we mentioned it to the hostess and hopefully they will re-finish them... food 8.5; overall experience 7.0
