So my wife and I came to this restaurant knowing they have good reviews to celebrate our first anniversary. We ordered 2 main courses (lamb chops and shoulder) and appetizer plater. Portions were decent. The food however was horrible. VERY greasy, bland, over cooked and even their salad was not fresh. The cucumbers were freezer burn and you can tell rest of ingredients were not fresh at all. I honestly will never go back. Strange that other people seem to have a positive experience ...
I went to this restaurant based on the high rating and I must say I was not disappointed. Atmosphere: It didn't have the traditional Greek vibe but I guess being "New York" means more city decor. Enjoyable.Food: We had ordered roast lamb and calamari and both dishes were fantastic. The lamb came in huge portion, took two people to finish one, or maybe we are not big eater. The meat was juicy and tender, compared to other ones I have had where it'd be dry. The calamari is definitely above average since most Greek restaurants deep fried them for too long. The free pita bread was by far THE best pita bread I have had of all my Greek dining. Price: Average priced; roast lamb was $18 I believe and calamari was 11. Service: Really friendly staff and comes by often to see if water need to be topped up or dishes taken away.
With the many positive reviews this establishment had, we decided to give it a try. It was not disappointing at all. The portion sizes for the price were very generous. The roast lamb was a standout and everyone had enough to take home for leftovers. The calamari was also very good as it is not too overly breaded and deep fried. Service was excellent and the restaurant was quiet and cosy. Only one of us had a slightly undercooked potato with her entree.
Great roast lamb, quick service! Waiting staff was excellent and always asked if we needed anything else. Never ran out of water at this place! Portions are huge, and the kalamari appetizer is well worth it. Parking is free, they have great hours and an excellent atmosphere. This is going to be one of my regular go tos around Surrey.
Amazing Greek food. The servers were fun to talk to and they gave lots of good suggestions for food. Ordered lamb and mussels, both were excellent.No complaints at all for this place.
