Had a great weekend teaching people about reptiles. Would have gave 5 stars but being threatened as I left was not ok. Not by staff but by another "education program guy"
During the Christmas Holidays they decorate Cloverdal Arena as a winter wonderland and have public skating. It is a wonderful experience and great time every year. The kids really enjoy skating with the lights dimmed and the arena decorated. Parking is free. Arena is clean and well kept. Ice is in good condition.
Older rink, does the job. My team played here in the summer and it was like a sauna. For a place that makes ice you would think they could figure oit a way to cool it down a bit.
Nice arena to play ball hockey in the spring. However I have removed a star because of the floor being slippery, but other than that, it is a nice arena that is still in good shape despite it's age.
We used the arena during public skating and it's quite nice and cheap (including rentals). For beginners they provide small skating frames/aids.The skating area itself is small and because of the holidays the ice was used up too much (1.5-2hrs renewal only).Other than that we had an ejoyable time.
