Small mall by today's standards. OK mix of higher end stores catering to the wealthy White Rockers and some everyday useful stores like Dollarama. Still missing an anchor tenant that used to be Zellers before it closed several years ago. Lots of natural light, comfy places to sit and very well kept washrooms. Food court is not much to get excited about. Better takeout selection at the Save On Foods, which can be accessed inside the mall. The attached government liquor store is very useful.
Semiahmoo shopping center is a small mall with decent stores. I usually dont come here for that reason. However there are quite a bit of stores for the size, but many of which are specialty stores and will not appeal to a general audience.
Visited here, was a nice area to shop. Cheryl's trading post has incredible art to buy. I enjoyed the aboriginal heritage there.
A dying strip mall that has no draw. While I understand the demographic of WR/SS WAS predominantly retired community, things are changing and Semiahmoo mall is not changing or keeping up. There are few stores geared towards younger (under 50) people, the food court is small and has poor selection, the parking is atrocious and the hours are awful! The mall and the food court close at 6pm!!! How does a food court close at dinner time??? It is a shame as Semiahmoo mall occupies some prime real estate and could be a great attraction but in its current state its days are numbered.
Good variety of stores and restaurants. Free parking. Clean facilities.
