Called the non emergency line to report that a neighbours vehicle had just been broken into, but we had no way of contacting that neighbour as we know didn't know which neighbour it was. The officer that answered was unwilling to take the report and refused to attempt the owner of the vehicle because it was not our vehicle. The door was open and the vehicle had visible damage, but they felt it was better to wait until morning (after the vehicle presumably got rained on all night) and have the owner call it inin when they discovered their car.
